It is Gold filled or ‘rolled gold’ is a solid layer of gold (14k) permanently bonded to a base metal. The minimum layer of gold must equal at least 1/20th the weight of the total item. It is much more hard wearing than gold plate and will not peel or flake. It offers the same strength and durability as solid gold and will last a lifetime if looked after.
